Contact support

Email contact@profitcentral.net with a short description of the issue, your app version and build, your iPhone model, and your iOS version. Please do not send passwords, recovery keys, payment details, or private QR content.

The camera does not open

Open iPhone Settings, find QR Studio, and allow Camera access. You can still paste a code manually or read a code from an image when camera scanning is unavailable.

Read a code from a photo

In the Scanner tab, choose Photos and select an image containing a supported QR or barcode. The image is analyzed locally and is not uploaded to us.

A link shows a warning

QR Studio checks links locally before opening them. It warns about unencrypted HTTP links, numeric IP addresses, encoded domains, embedded credentials, and unsupported schemes. Only continue if you recognize and trust the destination.

Export or delete history

Use Settings to export history as CSV or delete all saved history. Individual records can be managed from History. In build 26 and later, deleting a static code also queues its cloud deletion for the next successful sync to the same account. Offline deletion is not an immediate server deletion. Removing a dynamic QR from local history does not deactivate its hosted link. Keep an export if you need a separate copy.

Cloud sync and account deletion

Cloud sync is optional and can be enabled in Settings. It can upload your saved code contents, including personal text or Wi-Fi credentials; review your history first. Local scanning, creation, history, and export continue to work without it. The current app uses a pseudonymous cloud account and does not offer Sign in with Apple, so a second installation does not automatically have access to the first installation’s cloud data.

To remove the cloud account and its associated data, use the account-deletion control in Settings while connected. This also removes hosted dynamic links, but does not delete local history or cancel an Apple subscription.

Change, pause, or delete a hosted link

Open a dynamic code in History. In builds that include these controls, you can change its destination without reprinting, pause or reactivate it, or separately delete the hosted link. Build 32 includes all of these controls. They require access to the cloud account that owns the link and a connection; an offline or pending request is not confirmation that the server changed it.

Pausing keeps the link and its plan slot. Deleting the hosted link is irreversible, removes its scan records, and frees a slot after server confirmation. It does not delete the local history entry or cancel Pro. Neither action closes a page somebody already opened. Removing only the local history entry leaves the hosted link active or paused as before. If the app reports a conflict, review the server’s current destination and state before choosing what to keep; do not assume an earlier change was applied.

I did not receive confirmation of account deletion

Do not uninstall the app to troubleshoot this: you could lose local history and access to the pseudonymous account. Keep the app installed, reconnect, and open Settings. Build 32 does not include the recovery controls described here. Build 33 includes them and has been uploaded for TestFlight processing; availability for testers must still be confirmed. If your installed version has no recovery control or the result is unclear, contact support.

When “Check deletion result” is available, it asks only for the outcome of the existing request—it does not send another deletion request or create an account. A private receipt allows this check for seven days from server registration, even after the session stops working. If deletion is confirmed but local cleanup is incomplete, use “Finish local cleanup”. Your local history is retained. An unknown, expired, or unavailable result is not proof that the account was deleted.

Older requests without a receipt and requests at least seven days old on this device may offer “Keep history and disconnect”. Read the confirmation carefully: this removes local access to that cloud identity, not the server account. Its hosted links may still exist, and you may no longer be able to manage them from this installation. Use support if you need deletion confirmed. None of these actions cancels an Apple subscription. See the Privacy Policy for receipt retention.

Purchases, trials, and restoring Pro

QR Studio Pro is optional. Local scanning, static QR creation, history, and export do not require a subscription. The paywall should display Apple’s localized price, billing period, and any trial for which your account is eligible. Check Apple’s confirmation sheet before accepting. If the amounts differ, cancel and contact support with the app build and screenshots without account details.

Use “Restore” on the paywall to restore eligible purchases for your Apple account. You can manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or cloud account does not cancel it. TestFlight purchases use Apple’s test environment and do not charge real money.

Analytics and advertising choices

Product analytics is optional in Settings and is separate from cloud sync and advertising choices. Turning it off stops future product analytics on this device. In build 26 and later, pending cloud-consent updates retry while the app is open and online. Review available advertising privacy choices separately in Settings. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Supported formats

QR Studio supports QR, Aztec, Data Matrix, EAN-13, EAN-8, PDF417, UPC-E, and Code 128. It can create QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi, contacts, events, email, phone calls, and SMS.

App details

QR Studio 1.0 for iPhone requires iOS 17 or later. The interface is available in English and Spanish. Features depend on the installed build; check your version in TestFlight or the App’s Settings. These pages do not confirm App Store approval or the availability of a particular TestFlight build.
